Marian Boyd’s success story
“In 2014 I was introduced to Beth by a mutual acquaintance to see if she could help with chronic back and shoulder pain. 3 months of weekly sessions followed before I started to feel Beth unknot muscles which had become locked over the previous 30 years.
Having retired in 2013 at age 60 l longed to have a go at triathlon but never thought I could run until Beth helped me. I joined a club and began to train seriously, never neglecting the daily exercises Beth had given me. I used to struggle to get out of bed and used painkillers to get through the day but over time this changed and my fitness improved. I won my age group category in 2017 at the Leeds Castle Triathlon and then set my sights on qualification for the European Championships in 2019.
Having decided to stop running because of injury I concentrated on an event called Aquabike – a 2km swim followed by an 80km bike ride. I continued to see Beth regularly to help with the toll training took on my body and all my hard work paid off when I qualified for the Championships to represent my country of birth, Ireland.
I know that without Beth’s “magic fingers ” I could never have got this far. The partnership we have is now an integral part of my life and I cannot thank her enough for the contribution she has made to my health, fitness and well being.“
We are so very excited for Marian and will keep a close eye on her progress on theway to the 2019 European Championship. We will also post an update leading up to the event as well as do a follow up with her afterwards for to track her progress and show our support.
